Benefits of Thermowood

Thermowood is created by heat-treating Scandinavian softwood to temperatures ranging from 180 – 230° in special chamber kilns for up to 96 hours. This produces a beautiful and sustainable timber. Steam is used as a protective gas and helps to prevent the wood from splitting and becoming damaged during treatment. Its attractive appearance and removal of resin mean that the timber is ideal for Saunas. Thermo-treated wood benefits from its durability, beauty, dimensional stability, environmental friendliness, and quality.

This stunning large Oval Sauna boasts 3 areas for relaxation and socialising. Inside there are 2 rooms separated by an attractive full glass door, as well as long benches perfect for lounging – offering enough room for up to 7 bathers. It also features a porch benefiting from a seating area, ideal for cooling off, and the front wall has an impressive large glass window (setting it apart from the other ULLA Sauna). The Oval design offers a much smaller heating area than any rectangular sauna for maximum energy efficiency. This model is available in Spruce or Thermowood.
